Which currency does Endless use, and what do the cost accounting options change?

Each company in Endless has one operating currency, and Endless shows every price, cost, and total in it. It is US dollars by default. If your company needs a different currency, contact Endless support. Orders, products, and purchase orders do not carry a currency of their own, so Endless stores amounts as they arrive from a sales channel, without conversion, and shows them in your company’s currency.

The Cost Accounting setting decides whether Endless creates order financials, the accounting documents on an order’s Accounting tab, and where the cost on each line comes from. Contact Endless support to change it.

  • Off: Endless does not create order financials.
  • Default product costs: Endless costs each line from the product. A cost already saved on the fulfillment order line comes first. Otherwise, when the fulfillment has a dropship supplier, Endless uses that supplier’s cost for the quantity, then the product’s dropship cost. After that it uses the landed cost, then the unit cost. A product without any cost gets a blank cost, not zero.
  • Historical inventory cost: Endless costs each line the same way as Default product costs.

A company that has never had the setting chosen gets order financials only while a QuickBooks Online integration is connected.

Changing the setting affects only orders costed from then on. Financials already recorded keep the cost they were given, and turning the setting off does not remove them. The Accounting tab may not be available on every account.
