How do I import sales history from before Endless into ECHO?
Use “Import order history” in ECHO to load sales from before Endless. Open ECHO under Demand, choose Units Ordered, then Data, and pick “Import order history” from the table menu. When ECHO is empty, the same button appears on the page. Shipments use “Import shipment history” under Units Shipped.
The file has one row per date, SKU, and sales channel:
- Date: required. Use YYYY-MM-DD, or a month-first date such as MM/DD/YYYY.
- SKU: required, up to 40 characters.
- Sales Channel: required. Use the channel’s handle so imported rows group with your Endless orders.
- Quantity Ordered: required, a whole number of at least 1.
- Order Count, Revenue, and Note: optional.
Imported rows get the source Manual. The import runs in the background and notifies you with the number of records written and rows skipped.
If you only have monthly totals, put each month on one row per SKU and channel, dated on one day of that month, such as the 1st. Monthly charts then show the right totals, and daily charts show the whole month on that day. Order Count can be left blank, which counts as zero orders. Enter the number of orders if you know it, because the Orders total adds it.
ECHO accepts any SKU text, so you can import history for SKUs that are no longer in your catalog. They do not need a product in Endless.
Records are kept separately by source. Imported Manual rows add to the Automatic records Endless builds from your orders, and to Adjustment records for the same date, SKU, and channel. Import history only for dates before your orders reached Endless, or those days count twice. A row that matches an earlier imported row replaces it. If a file repeats a date, SKU, and channel, combine those rows into one before you import.
