Why does Endless say I’m not authorized or not allowed to do something, and how do I get access?

A permission message means your current role does not allow that action in the selected company. Check the company first, then ask its Owner to review your role under Settings → Team & Roles or ask someone with the appropriate access to do the task.

The app can explain which role is needed. Operators work on orders, inventory, and purchasing; Editors also maintain product data; Admins manage integrations and operational settings; Owners manage company settings and team access. Guests have read-only access. Individual features can have additional plan requirements.

Editing a note is separate from general record editing: only its author can edit or delete it. Ask the author to make the change.

If you cannot open shipment costs, export data, or archive an order, use the action’s permission explanation rather than assuming all order actions have the same requirements. Contact Endless support if the explanation does not match the role you were assigned.

A role change applies to subsequent actions. Reload the app so its controls reflect the change. If a link belongs to another company, switch to a company you belong to or ask that company’s Owner to add you. Staff-only pages are not available to ordinary company roles.
