How does the Dashboard calculate its order and revenue numbers, such as “To Ship Today”, “Shipped Yesterday”, and Revenue?
The Dashboard counts orders from its snapshot, which Endless rebuilds about once an hour. Days are in UTC.
To Ship Today counts sales orders created today that are still Ordered and that Endless processes, so dropship orders are left out. An order stops counting once it moves to In Progress or later. The “… scheduled” number is that count plus the number of orders shipped yesterday. The trend compares today’s count with the orders created yesterday that are still waiting.
Shipped Yesterday counts sales orders that have at least one shipment with a ship date of yesterday. An order with several shipments that day counts once. The trend compares it with the day before.
Revenue adds up the order totals of sales orders created in the selected range: Last day, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, or Last 30 days, each ending now. An order total is the item prices times quantities, minus item discounts, plus the shipping charged and tax, so revenue includes tax and shipping and is net of discounts. It counts orders in every status, including Draft, Pending, and Canceled. The breakdown splits revenue by sales channel. Total Orders counts the same orders. Both compare with the period of the same length before, except for Last 30 days.
Each order’s total is added as recorded, without conversion, and the sum is shown in your company’s currency. Contact Endless support for help with orders in more than one currency.
Archived sales orders do not count in any order number, and archived inventory records do not count in the inventory numbers.
