How does ECHO track inventory levels and stock movements over time?
ECHO keeps two kinds of inventory history: a daily snapshot of each SKU in each building, and a record of every stock movement. Both are in ECHO’s Inventory view. If it shows “Coming soon,” contact Endless support.
Once a day, just after midnight UTC, Endless records a snapshot of each active SKU in each building: Available, On hand, In stock, Allocated, and Incoming. See them under Inventory, then Snapshots. A snapshot records that moment, and Endless does not recalculate past days. The Overview’s “Inventory position” chart shows daily on-hand units, and “No snapshot” marks a day without one, such as a day before ECHO started recording.
Inventory, then Changes, lists every change to a stock level, with When, SKU, Reason, Warehouse, and Location. It shows the levels after the change, for the location (Location stock, Location allocated) and for the whole building (In stock, Allocated, Unallocated, Available to allocate, Available to make, Physical, Quarantine, and Damaged). Reasons include Allocation, Shipment, Receipt, Adjustment, and Correction. New changes appear within about five minutes. Changes cannot be imported or deleted.
- Physical stock: every unit in the building, including quarantine and damaged locations, but not the Available to Make location. Snapshots call it On hand.
- Available to sell: In stock minus Allocated minus Ordered, the units on open orders waiting for stock. ECHO does not add Available to Make, so it can be negative.
- Available to allocate: unallocated units plus Available to make.
- Available to make: units that could be built from components in the building.
ECHO records only from when it started recording your account. For earlier levels, use “Import inventory” with Date, SKU, Warehouse (the handle, or blank for unspecified), Inventory, and an optional Note. Imported days show the Inventory value as Available to sell. Contact Endless support for help with on-hand history from before Endless.
