Why do ECHO totals or sales channels look wrong, such as doubled days, extra orders, or “Unassigned”?

Most of these come from how ECHO adds its records together. ECHO keeps separate records by source, Automatic, Manual, and Adjustment, and every total adds all of them.

Doubled days: if you imported order or shipment history for days that Endless also recorded from its own orders, ECHO counts both. Filter Source to Manual to find the imported records, then remove the overlapping dates with “Delete Echo data” in the Actions menu. Adjustment records you added for those days also add to the total.

Higher order count: ECHO counts orders for each SKU, sales channel, and day, then adds those counts together. An order with three different SKUs counts as three orders in the total. Order counts in imported history add on top.

More units shipped than ordered:

  • Units Shipped is dated by ship date and Units Ordered by order date, so a period can ship orders placed earlier.
  • When a bundle ships as its components, the component units are counted under the bundle SKU.
  • Units shipped on canceled orders still count.
  • Imported shipment history adds to Endless’s own shipments for the same days.

Same channel twice: ECHO groups by the sales channel handle, matched exactly. Endless records its own orders under the channel’s handle at the time. Imported rows and records you add use the text you entered, so “shopify” and “shopify-us” are separate channels. If a channel’s handle was changed, earlier days keep the old handle. A channel without a handle appears under an internal ID. To combine imported records, export them, correct the Sales Channel column, delete the originals, and import the file again. Contact Endless support for help combining Automatic records.

“Unassigned” labels records whose sales channel is blank. Endless fills in a channel on every record it creates, and imports and “Add record” require one, so it appears only for records saved without a channel through the API.
