Can I add, adjust, or edit records in ECHO, and does that change my orders?

You can add, edit, and delete Manual and Adjustment records in ECHO, but not Automatic ones. None of these changes affects your sales orders, shipments, or inventory. ECHO keeps its own copy of the figures, and Endless does not write ECHO changes back to the originals.

Each record shows a Source:

  • Automatic: built by Endless from your orders and shipments, and rebuilt when those change. The app shows them read-only, and Endless rejects edits with “Automatic records cannot be edited.” To change one, change the order or shipment, and ECHO picks it up at the next daily run. The Source filter calls these Automated.
  • Manual: loaded with “Import order history,” “Import shipment history,” or “Import inventory.”
  • Adjustment: added with “Add record.”

To add a record, open Units Ordered or Units Shipped, choose Data, and pick “Add record” from the table menu. Enter the Date, SKU, Sales channel, and units, and optionally the number of orders or shipments, Revenue, and a Note. The dialog says: “Add an adjustment entry. Automated data stays untouched and the layers add up to the total.” Each date, SKU, and sales channel can have one Adjustment record. A second one fails with “An adjustment record already exists for this grain,” so edit the existing record instead.

On Manual and Adjustment rows, you can change the quantity and the note directly in the table, and delete the row with its trash icon. To change counts or Revenue on a Manual record, reimport the same date, SKU, and sales channel with corrected values. For an Adjustment, delete the record and add it again. To delete many records at once, use “Delete Echo data” in the Actions menu.

The app accepts quantities of zero or more, so to lower a day’s total, lower or delete its Manual and Adjustment records. To lower Automatic units, correct or cancel the order itself. Contact Endless support for help.
