Why hasn’t a team member been able to join, and what do the statuses and labels on the Team & Roles page mean?
A new team member joins by accepting the invitation email Endless sends when an Owner adds them on Settings > Team & Roles. Endless sends that email only when the address does not already have an Endless login. Someone who already signs in to Endless for another company does not get an email. Endless adds them to your company directly, and they switch to it after signing in.
When an Owner adds someone, Endless shows “… has been added as a team member” once the add is complete, and the person appears on the Team & Roles page. If it cannot be completed, Endless shows the reason.
If an invitation did not arrive, check the address on the Team & Roles page and the person’s spam folder. To resend an invitation, contact Endless support. A resent invitation replaces the earlier link.
An invitation link works only once. After it is accepted, it shows “This invitation has already been accepted,” and the person signs in with their email and password, or uses “Forgot password?” on the login page. A link replaced by a resend shows “This invitation link is not valid.” If a link does not work and the person has not accepted, contact Endless support to resend the invitation.
“The email is already in use” means the address already has an Endless login. It comes from inviting someone directly through the API. Use “Add member” on the Team & Roles page instead, which adds an existing login to your company.
On the Team & Roles page:
- Pending: the person has not accepted an invitation, so their email is not verified.
- Verified: the person accepted an invitation and verified their email. It belongs to the login, so someone verified for another company shows Verified here too.
- No roles: the person belongs to the company but does not hold a role in it, so they cannot work in it. Open the person and assign a role.
