How do I send gift messages, special instructions, packing slips, or other documents to the warehouse with an order?
Gift messages and fulfillment instructions go to the warehouse with the fulfillment order when the warehouse integration has a field for them. Share order documents with the warehouse directly.
Gift message: edit it in the Gift Message section of the sales order’s details. A fulfillment order can also have its own gift message in “Edit Fulfillment Notes,” which replaces the order’s message for that fulfillment order. Endless sends the gift message when it sends the fulfillment order to InfoPlus, MasonHub, Packiyo, ShipBob, ShipHero, ShipStation, or VeraCore. Change it before the fulfillment order is sent.
Instructions: each fulfillment order has an Instructions field in “Edit Fulfillment Notes” for packing, shipping, or handling instructions. Packiyo and ShipHero receive it as a packing note, ShipStation as internal notes, and VeraCore as shipping notes. The sales order’s “Instructions from Customer” and Routing Instructions are stored on the order. For InfoPlus, send the instructions from the customer to the warehouse directly. Which fields other warehouses receive depends on the integration.
Documents: the Documents section of the sales order holds invoices, POs, packing lists, labels, and other files you add with “Add Documents.” Endless keeps them with the order. To get them to the warehouse, share them with the warehouse directly.
Pick lists and packing slips: use the fulfillment order document. On a fulfillment order, “Export as PDF” creates a fulfillment order document with the ship-to address, building, carrier service, items with SKUs and quantities, and instructions. “Email fulfillment order” and “Share link” send it to someone else, such as a warehouse that is not connected to Endless.
