How do I bring my existing data into Endless?
Bring in products and the records they depend on first, then stock, purchasing, orders, and historical reporting. Use the import or integration instructions for each area; matching rules and blank-cell behavior differ between them.
- Prepare your catalog. Set up brands and custom attributes you need, then import products. Keep SKUs consistent across your files and connected systems. Shopify product imports are another option.
- Add related product data. Once the products exist, import bundle and alias components. Import suppliers before supplier cost estimates.
- Establish opening stock. Create buildings and locations, decide which system manages their stock, then import inventory where appropriate. Imported stock levels replace quantities at each location rather than adding to them.
- Bring in open purchasing. Import purchase orders, then supply shipments that reference their lines. Importing a shipment with Received status does not itself receive its stock.
- Connect order sources. Follow order integration instructions, agree when the source starts sending orders, and check a sample before bringing in a backlog. Avoid sending the same orders through two integrations.
- Add earlier reporting history. Import historical ordered and shipped data into ECHO. Choose a cutoff before automatic history begins so the same period is not counted twice. ECHO history does not create operational orders or shipments.
Keep your original files, test a small representative sample, and compare records and totals before importing the rest. Export existing records before bulk updates. Review completion notifications and errors after each stage, and contact Endless support for help coordinating your migration.
