How do I test the complete order workflow before enabling automation?

Run one agreed test order through its source, Endless, and the fulfillment service before enabling automatic sending. Coordinate with the warehouse so the test does not ship unexpectedly or get processed twice.

  1. Import or create the sales order. Check its products, quantities, customer, address, sales channel, and source.
  2. Create its fulfillment order or apply the intended routing strategy. Confirm the building, fulfillment service, assigned quantities, and rule.
  3. Allocate the inventory. Check that the reservation reduces available stock; creating a Draft fulfillment order alone does not reserve it.
  4. Review the requirements for Ready, including address, carrier service, holds, and any rule conditions. Use “Send for fulfillment” when the warehouse is ready to receive it. “Mark as In Progress” alone does not send the order.
  5. Confirm that the fulfillment service received the expected items and instructions. After an agreed shipment, check stock deductions, package details, and tracking in Endless and the source sales channel.
  6. Test cancellation separately. Confirm that reservations are released, and check with the warehouse if work has already been sent. Cancellation in Endless does not guarantee physical work has stopped.

Review order signals and the timeline for unresolved differences or failed handoffs. Enable automation only after the expected routing, inventory, shipment reporting, and source updates have been checked.
