How do I update inventory for many SKUs at once with an import file?
Choose Import Inventory from the actions on the Inventory list and upload a CSV with one row per SKU and location. Each row replaces that location’s stock level with the number in the file. It does not add to the current quantity.
The columns are:
- SKU (required): must match the product’s SKU exactly.
- Warehouse ID (required): the building’s Endless ID.
- Location ID (optional): the location’s Endless ID.
- Location Handle (optional): available or unavailable, used when Location ID is blank. available is the building’s Default Available location, and unavailable is its Default Unavailable (Quarantine) location. Leave both blank to use Default Available.
- Stock Level (required): a whole number of 0 or more.
To find IDs for a second warehouse, filter the Inventory list by Building, choose Export Inventory, and choose Split by location. The file has a Warehouse ID and Location ID for each location your SKUs use. For a building where nothing has stock yet, use its Warehouse ID and leave Location ID blank.
Endless processes the file in the background and shows “Import started... we will let you know when it is complete.” An Inbox notification follows. “Import completed” gives the number of stock levels updated and lists SKUs skipped with no matching product. “Import failed” gives the number of errors, and in that case Endless changes nothing.
A manual adjustment sends the new quantity right away to Shopify, Amazon, and Rithum. An import does not. Imported quantities reach your channels on the next scheduled push: every 15 minutes for Shopify, Faire, and Sellbrite, every hour for Rithum and Mirakl, every 12 hours for Wayfair, and every 24 hours for Amazon and Endless EDI. Choose Push inventory to send them sooner. Only buildings whose connection has “Push inventory to integration” set to Yes are included.
The inventory import changes stock in your own buildings. Contact Endless support to discuss importing inventory reports that retailers send by email.
