How do I import supply shipments, and how does the import match them to existing shipments and purchase orders?
On the Shipments page, choose “Import Shipments” from the table menu and upload a CSV file with one row per shipment line. When you have no shipments yet, the table menu is hidden and “Import Shipments” is on the empty Shipments page instead.
Shipment Number decides whether a row group creates or updates a shipment. A number that matches one existing shipment updates it. A number that matches none creates a shipment with that number, and a blank number creates one with a generated number. Rows with the same number belong to one shipment wherever they are in the file. A row with a blank number and only item columns filled in belongs to the shipment above it. If a number matches more than one shipment, the import fails.
Within a shipment, Item ID (written by the export) updates that exact line. Without an Item ID, a row updates the line with the same purchase order line and lot number, or the same SKU and lot when the line has no purchase order. Otherwise it adds a new line. A blank cell leaves the existing value as it is.
To link a line to a purchase order, put the PO number in Item PO Number. Endless links the row to the line on that purchase order with the same Item SKU. When Item Unit Cost is blank, a new line takes the purchase order line’s unit cost, and its HTS code and master carton details too.
To record received quantities, enter them on the shipment’s items after the import. Stock is added to the building only when received quantities are saved on the shipment, whatever status the import sets. The Status column moves a shipment forward one step at a time, up to Received or Closed. Your developer or an AI coding tool can also set received quantities through the Endless API with an Operations Integration. API access must be in your plan.
