How do I change an order’s shipping address, and why does Endless flag or reject an address?
Edit the shipping address in the order’s customer information. Whether a fulfillment order picks up the change depends on its status.
- Draft and Allocated fulfillment orders use the order’s address, so they pick up the change.
- When a fulfillment order is marked Ready, Endless copies the order’s address onto it. Later changes to the order do not change it.
- A fulfillment order with its own address keeps it. Endless lists those fulfillment orders when you update the order.
To change the address on a Ready, In Progress, or Failed fulfillment order, open its “Shipping Info” and set a specific shipping address for that fulfillment order. Fulfilled and Canceled ones cannot be changed. When the warehouse already received the fulfillment order, also update the address in the warehouse system, or cancel the fulfillment order and send a new one.
Endless checks that an address you enter has Address 1, a city, a country, and a postal code, and that the postal code matches the country’s format. To correct an address, edit it on the order or in your sales channel.
Endless asks for a postal code in the country’s format for every address, so it can reject an international address that Shopify accepts without one. Imported orders are not rejected when they arrive. The check happens when you edit the address or move a fulfillment order forward. Contact Endless support for help with an address in a country that does not use postal codes, or to discuss address verification.
A fulfillment order cannot move from Allocated to Ready, or on to In Progress, without a shipping address that has Address 1, a city, a postal code, and a country. Until then it shows “Blocked from next step” and the fix “Add Shipping Address.” Select it to add the address to that fulfillment order, or fix the address on the order while the fulfillment order is still Allocated.
