Why do my inventory numbers look wrong, such as negative Available to Sell or more stock than my warehouse has?

Most unexpected numbers come from demand that Endless counts before it ships, or from stock movements that Endless has not recorded.

Available to Sell is negative when Ordered is larger than Unallocated stock, plus Available to Make for products that include components. Ordered includes Pending sales orders, items not yet on a fulfillment order, and items on Draft fulfillment orders. A negative number means the SKU is oversold.

Endless reduces stock when shipments cover a whole allocated fulfillment order. Until then, a partly shipped fulfillment order keeps its units in stock. A fulfillment order shipped without an allocation does not reduce stock. For a building whose inventory is managed by an integration, stock changes only when Endless pulls from that system. Stock in inactive buildings still counts in the totals. Adjust the stock, or use “Refresh inventory” to pull the latest levels.

The list and the detail page show the same totals unless you filter the list by building. With a building filter, the quantity columns show only those buildings, and only SKUs with a location in them appear. On PO Not Shipped shows nothing, because unshipped purchase order lines do not have a building. The Depth badge and the Stock Depth filter stay company-wide.

On the item’s Locations tab, the Unassigned row is the difference between the item’s totals and the sum of its building rows. Units on orders that are not on a fulfillment order count toward the building marked as Default Building, so Ordered appears under Unassigned when no active building is the default. Incoming appears there for purchase order units not on a shipment yet.

Shipments, receipts, allocations, and adjustments update quantities when they are saved, or shortly after. Available to Make updates within an hour. Endless also recalculates all totals once a day. To recalculate now, choose “Recalculate Inventory Levels” on the inventory list.
