Why doesn’t inventory in Endless match my 3PL, and how do I fix it?

Endless’s counts for a building follow your 3PL only when the building’s “Inventory managed by” is that 3PL’s connection. Endless then imports the 3PL’s counts on a schedule: every 15 minutes for ShipHero, Extensiv, InfoPlus, GoBolt, MasonHub, Mintsoft, Veracore, and Business Central, and every 3 hours for ShipBob and Jazz OMS. Receipts and adjustments at the 3PL appear after the next import. To import sooner, use “Pull inventory” on the Inventory page.

Each import sets the building’s Default Available location so that Endless’s available stock equals the 3PL’s available quantity, adding back units Endless has allocated at that building. Damaged or non-sellable units at the 3PL go to Default Unavailable. Stock in the building’s other locations is not changed. Endless’s Available to Sell also subtracts units on open orders that are not allocated yet, so it can be lower than the 3PL’s figure. Compare the 3PL’s available quantity, not its on-hand quantity, with Endless’s Available to Sell plus allocated units.

Inventory for a product does not come in when:

  • the 3PL’s SKU does not exactly match the Endless product’s SKU. Endless skips SKUs it does not have and does not create products from an inventory import.
  • the building is not connected to the 3PL, or its “Inventory managed by” is Endless Commerce or another system.
  • the building’s connection has the wrong External Location ID, so it points to a different 3PL warehouse.
  • the integration is disabled. Imports run only for enabled integrations.
  • the product was created after the last import. It updates on the next one.

To fix a mismatch, correct these settings, then run “Pull inventory”. Endless replaces the counts for every SKU the 3PL reports. SKUs the 3PL does not report keep their current counts.
