How do I choose or change the carrier and shipping service on an order?
Each fulfillment order has its own carrier service. Open the fulfillment order’s Details tab and edit Carrier Service, then search for the service. New fulfillment orders copy the sales order’s requested carrier service, or try mapping its requested shipping method through the source integration. Each fulfillment then keeps its own selection. Changing the order’s request does not update existing fulfillments. When the order arrived without a match, the fulfillment order shows “Carrier service is missing,” and “Resolve carrier service” lets you pick one and save it as an alias for future orders.
Set the Carrier Service before you send the fulfillment order to the warehouse. To change the carrier, service, or third-party billing account after sending, select “Revert to Allocated,” which asks the warehouse to cancel its copy. Make the change, select “Mark as Ready,” and then “Send for fulfillment.”
To set carrier services on many orders, use an automation. Assign Carrier Service sets the order’s carrier service and replaces any existing one. Assign Fallback Fulfillment Carrier Service, with the Fulfillment Created trigger, sets one only on fulfillment orders that do not have one.
An order gets a carrier service that differs from checkout when an automation such as Assign Carrier Service replaced it, or when a carrier alias maps the checkout method to a different service. Check the order’s automation runs and the integration’s carrier aliases.
Endless sends a “Rate Shop” service to your warehouse, and the warehouse chooses the carrier and rate. Exclude carriers in the warehouse’s own settings.
Splitting an order creates a new fulfillment order in Draft. It can be sent once it is allocated and Ready. Select “Allocate,” then “Mark as Ready,” then “Send for fulfillment.” For new fulfillments, use a Fulfillment Created automation with Process Fulfillment. Processing must be enabled.
