What do a building’s settings do, such as default building, routing strategies, and address?
A building’s settings control how Endless treats it for orders.
To decide which building fills sales orders first, set the order of buildings inside each routing rule.
A company has one default building. Setting “Default Building” to Yes on one building sets it to No on all others. The newer building page shows a “Default building” badge. Endless counts sales order quantities that are not yet on a fulfillment order against the default building’s Ordered quantity.
The residential setting is recorded on the building’s address for reference. It does not affect routing, fulfillment, or shipping in Endless.
The “Routing rules” section (“Related Routing Strategies” on the newer building page) lists every routing rule. “Eligible” means the rule can create fulfillment orders at this building. “Excluded” means it cannot. When no rule uses the building, Endless warns “No routing rule uses this building, so no fulfillments will be created from it.” Open a rule to change its buildings.
Changing a building’s details, address, inventory source, or default fulfillment integration requires the appropriate company-level access, normally Admin or Owner. Legacy brand roles have been retired. Operators, Guests, Sales Reps, Fulfillment Service users, and Customer Service users can view these settings.
“Postal code is not valid” means the postal code does not match the format Endless expects for the selected country. Check that the country is right and the code is complete, then save again. Include a postal code whenever you save an address.
