What does Demand Planning show, and what do I need to set up for it to be useful?
Demand Planning compares inventory and incoming stock with recent ECHO unit demand to help identify stock risks. Find it under Demand → Planning when available on your account.
The table includes available, incoming, and future quantities, Restock At, average monthly unit demand, days of supply, suggested order quantity, and purchasing lead time. Add products, keep stock and incoming records current, and set restock thresholds. ECHO history supplies the demand figures.
Available inventory uses Available to Sell. Incoming includes outstanding purchasing, shipment, and transfer quantities. Future available includes that incoming stock. The Building filter narrows stock quantities; demand history is still company-wide, so it is not a forecast for just that building.
Demand is measured in quantities, rather than order counts. A missing or zero daily demand leaves days of supply blank. Wait for history to load and inspect the page’s calculation details before treating an empty value as zero demand.
Filters help find stock risks. Users with product-edit access can change Restock At directly in the table. Suggested order quantity compares that threshold with future availability; it is not a prediction based on lead time.
Ordered and shipped history describe different events and dates. Use the period and metric shown on the chart, and compare outstanding orders with the Inventory list’s Ordered quantity. Contact Endless support if your account lacks planning access or needs a different forecasting method.
