Where can I see how a SKU’s inventory changed over time, and what does inventory history record?
An item’s History tab shows every recorded change to its stock levels, and its Activity tab shows who adjusted the stock and the reason they chose. Open the item from the Inventory list to see both. To see changes across all SKUs, open ECHO under Demand and choose Inventory, then Changes.
History lists each change with when it happened, the building and location, a reason category such as Adjustment or Shipment, and the stock levels after the change. A chart above the table plots the levels for a period you choose. To see who made a change, use the Activity tab. New changes appear within about five minutes.
Activity is the item’s log. For an adjustment it names the user, the new quantity, and the reason chosen in the Adjust Inventory dialog. It also logs other events on the item, such as allocations and shipments.
If an item does not show a History tab, use its Activity tab. The History tab and ECHO’s inventory views depend on your account and plan, so contact Endless support to discuss adding them.
Pulls from a 3PL or other connected system appear in History with the reason Adjustment, and in Activity with the reason Inventory Sync. A pull that does not change a quantity is not recorded.
History keeps the SKU the item had when each change happened. After you change a product’s SKU, the item’s History tab shows only changes recorded under the new SKU. To see earlier changes, filter ECHO’s inventory changes by the old SKU.
History shows each building’s and location’s current name, so after you rename a location, earlier rows show the new name. If a location no longer exists, its name is blank.
