How does Demand Planning calculate monthly unit demand, days of supply, lead time, and suggested order quantity?
Demand Planning uses ECHO unit demand and the product’s inventory and purchasing settings.
Average monthly units is the ordered quantity in the demand period divided by three and rounded. It counts product quantities, not the number of orders. Days of supply is the available quantity, with a minimum of zero, divided by average daily unit demand. When daily demand is zero or unavailable, days of supply stays blank rather than using an order-count estimate.
Suggested order quantity is Restock At minus Future available, with a minimum of zero. It does not independently use sales speed or lead time, so a fast-selling product can show zero when its threshold is unset or already covered.
Lead time comes from the product’s purchasing lead time. It is blank if unset. Restock At is the product’s reorder threshold and can be edited in the planning table by someone with product-edit access. Enter it in the displayed product unit.
ECHO records demand by SKU. A sale of a bundle does not automatically become ordered demand for every component; review component requirements separately. Corrections to ECHO history can change the calculated demand.
Use the page’s calculation explanation when interpreting a value, and contact Endless support if the demand period or product setup does not match your planning needs.
