Fulfillment Services

A fulfillment service is the connected system responsible for operating a Fulfillment Order. It may be a warehouse management system, 3PL, supplier connection, or shipping and fulfillment platform such as ShipStation or ShipHero.

When a Fulfillment Order is ready, Endless can send it to the fulfillment service assigned through its building or routing configuration. That service can then report progress and create Shipment information for the work it received.

The fulfillment service is separate from the Sales Order source. For example, Shopify can supply the Sales Order while a 3PL fulfills it. A fulfillment service operates the Fulfillment Orders assigned to it; it does not automatically operate every Fulfillment Order on the Sales Order.
