What happens when the quantity I receive doesn’t match the supply shipment, or I change it later?
Endless records whatever received quantity you enter and changes stock by the difference from the last saved value.
Enter the count that arrived. The missing units remain incoming while receiving is open. If more units may arrive on the same shipment, leave it In Receiving. When you accept a short count with Mark as Received, a top-level shipment returns the missing units to the PO as unshipped, except units covered by open child shipments. A child shipment keeps its expected quantity.
When more units arrive, enter the higher number. Endless accepts it and adds every received unit to stock. In the inventory columns the line’s incoming becomes 0. After an over-receipt, check the product’s other open shipments to that building for the quantities still expected.
To catch a mismatch, compare the On Shipment and Received columns before you save. “Confirm changes” then shows the change to Stock Levels and Incoming for each edited line. Moving to Received does not require the quantities to match. Contact Endless support to discuss mismatch warnings, or for help with incoming quantities after an over-receipt.
Lowering a received quantity removes the difference from stock, from the location receipts go to.
To remove a line with receipts, set the received quantity to zero in In Receiving and save first. To cancel or delete the shipment, reverse all its receipts.
