Can I record lot numbers or send received units to quarantine when I receive a supply shipment?
You can record a lot number on each supply shipment item, and you can receive units into quarantine by making a quarantine location the shipment’s destination location.
Enter lot numbers in the Lot Number column when you add or edit items, or in the shipment import. To divide one line across several lots, choose “Split by Lot” from the item’s actions. Each lot gets its own row and quantity, and the rows must add up to the original quantity. A lot number can be used only once for the same product on a shipment. “Split by Lot” is unavailable once the item has a received quantity: “Items cannot be split after receiving has begun.”
When you receive, Endless adds the units to the product’s stock in the building as one quantity, and the lot number stays on the shipment item for reference. Contact Endless support to discuss lot-tracked stock.
To receive into quarantine, set the Location on the shipment’s Destination & Route card to a location in the Quarantine zone, such as the building’s Default Unavailable location, before entering received quantities. Received units then go into that location. They count in Physical and Quarantine but not In Stock, so they are not available to sell, and they are not allocated while the location is not pickable.
The location applies to the whole shipment. To send some items to quarantine and others to sellable stock, put them on separate shipments, or receive everything into one location and move the units afterward. Location is offered only when Endless manages the destination building’s inventory.
