How do I set up and run wholesale orders in Endless?

Set up a sales channel for your wholesale accounts, bring orders in through EDI, an integration, the API, or by hand, and record the retailer’s details in each order’s B2B Info.

Create the channel on the Sales Channels page and set “Sales Channel Type” to Wholesale. Choose an Origin, such as EDI or Manual. “Auto-approve Orders” decides whether Pending orders from an integration are approved automatically. Under Accounting, “Invoicing Type” chooses between a sales receipt and an invoice in your accounting system.

Orders get fulfillment orders from a “Create fulfillments” automation or by hand, and manual processing or Process Fulfillment automations move them forward.

Wholesale customers’ orders arrive through EDI, a connected channel such as Faire, the API, or someone on your team creating them. Your developer or an AI coding tool can build an ordering portal for them that creates orders through the Endless API with a Custom Sales integration. API access must be in your plan.

Each sales order’s details include these fields:

• PO Number, for the retailer’s purchase order number.
• Ship Window, with Ship After and Ship By dates, and Expected Ship Date.
• Shipment Incoterms, Duties Payor, Customer EORI, Customer VAT, and Shipper Tax Number for international orders. Endless stores them on the order and sends the EORI number to InfoPlus.
• Routing Required, Routing Portal URL, Routing Email, Routing Instructions, and Routing Attachments, for a retailer’s routing requirements.

Request routing through the retailer’s portal or routing contact, then record the carrier, bill of lading, and reference number on the shipment.

To book freight, use Book Freight in Tools, which may not be available on every account. It sends a request for ocean, air, truck or LTL, or rail freight to the Endless freight team, which replies with a quote within 24 hours. The request is not linked to an order.
