How are dropship costs and supplier charges set on a fulfillment order?
A dropship fulfillment order carries what you pay the supplier: a unit cost for each item, plus supplier charges for shipping and other fees. You see and edit them on the fulfillment order’s Dropship tab, which appears once a supplier is assigned.
When you assign a supplier with “Assign Supplier” or “Update Supplier,” you can select “Update item costs from product costs.” Endless then sets each item’s unit cost from:
- The supplier’s dropship quote for that product at the fulfillment order’s quantity.
- The product’s Default Dropship Unit Cost, when the supplier has no dropship quote.
Items with neither are cleared. Set these costs on the product: Default Dropship Unit Cost is in the product’s Default Costs, and a supplier quote with the cost type Dropship applies to that supplier only. You can also type unit costs directly in the Item unit costs section of the Dropship tab.
To use your wholesale cost when the product has no dropship cost, enter it as the supplier’s dropship quote or as the Default Dropship Unit Cost, then select “Update item costs from product costs” again. Or type the cost on the Dropship tab. Contact Endless support for help with dropship costs.
The Financials section has “Shipping / freight,” “Other fees,” and “Notes” for what the supplier charges you beyond the items. “Total supplier cost” adds the item costs and these charges. You can change them at any time, including after the fulfillment order ships.
Endless uses the item unit costs as the cost of goods on the fulfillment order’s shipments, and in accounting documents sent to QuickBooks. The item costs and supplier charges also appear on the page the supplier opens from “Email fulfillment order” or “Share link.” When an item has no unit cost, that page shows the total supplier cost as Incomplete.
