How do I have a supplier ship orders directly to my customers?

To have a supplier ship an order, assign the supplier to its fulfillment order, send the supplier the fulfillment order, and record the shipment in Endless when the supplier ships it.

  1. On the fulfillment order, select “Assign Supplier.” This marks it as a dropship fulfillment order and adds the Dropship tab for supplier costs.
  2. Select “Email fulfillment order” or “Share link.”
  3. When the supplier sends tracking, select “Create shipment” and enter it. Endless sends the shipment to your sales channel.

“Email fulfillment order” sends an email naming your company, the fulfillment order number, and the sales order number, with a link to a read-only page. The page shows the ship-to name, company, phone, and address, the items and quantities, the carrier service, instructions, gift message, expected ship date, and supplier costs, and the supplier can download it as a PDF. Endless suggests the supplier’s contacts, the building’s email, and you as recipients. You can enter up to 20 addresses across To and CC.

You choose who is copied each time in the CC field. The email comes from Endless’s own sending address.

The email, the page, and “Export as PDF” include the sales order number and the ship-to details. Your developer or an AI coding tool can build your own supplier document from fulfillment order data through the Endless API with a Read Only Data Integration. API access must be in your plan. Contact Endless support to discuss changing the sender or leaving details out.

Assigning a supplier does not change the fulfillment order’s building. Endless reduces a building’s stock only when the fulfillment order had reserved stock there and its shipments cover every item. If the building’s inventory is managed by another system, nothing was reserved, and the activity shows “Inventory was not reduced because this fulfillment had no active allocation.” For a building whose inventory Endless manages, the fulfillment order must be allocated and In Progress before you can create the shipment.
