Why does my AI assistant get an error or lose access when it calls Endless, and how do I fix it?
Most assistant errors can be resolved by checking sign-in, the selected company, your role, and the company’s plan.
For an invalid token or 401 error, disconnect the Endless connector and connect it again using your own Endless login. The client normally renews access automatically; reconnect when that renewal fails.
“Not allowed … Check that the company is one this user works in.” or “Restricted access” means your login cannot perform that request in the selected company. Ask the assistant to list your companies and choose the right one. Ask a company Admin about your role if you need more access. Reconnecting does not increase permissions.
When you leave a company, the assistant loses access to it. The connection can still work for other companies you belong to.
“The requested scope is invalid, unknown, or malformed” means the client requested an unsupported permission. Endless accepts the read and write scope names. Use the connection setup instructions and remove other scope names from custom settings. The currently available Endless tools read data.
“Not included in this company’s plan” means AI assistant access or a required feature is missing. ECHO requests need ECHO, and supplier, purchase order, and inbound shipment requests need Supply chain.
If the client cannot add the server, check that the URL ends in /mcp and that it supports remote HTTP MCP with OAuth. A local stdio-only client cannot use this remote connection.
For missing or newly announced tools, refresh the tool list. Contact Endless support if the problem remains.
