How do I cancel or delete a purchase order, and what happens to its supply shipments?

To cancel a purchase order, open the row menu on the Purchase Orders list and choose “Cancel.” To remove a purchase order from the list, choose “Archive” (“Archive Draft” for a draft), which hides it. Contact Endless support to discuss deleting a purchase order permanently.

Canceling sets the status to Canceled. The purchase order stays in the list, and its lines stop counting in the inventory columns On PO Not Shipped and On PO Shipped. Archiving works at any status and hides the purchase order from the list unless you use the “Archived POs” filter. Its lines leave the same counts. You can bring it back with “Restore.”

The “Cancel” action appears only while the purchase order is Draft, In Review, or Issued. From Confirmed onward, Cancel is not offered, and a cancel request shows “Purchase Order cannot be canceled in ‘CONFIRMED’ status.” To stop a Confirmed or In Production order, open it and choose Canceled from “Update Status,” or archive it.

Canceling or archiving a purchase order does not change its supply shipments. They keep their status, items, and link to the purchase order lines. Open shipments with a destination building still count toward that building’s incoming quantity. Cancel each shipment that will not arrive from the shipment page. Canceling a shipment does not change stock that was already received.

To undo a cancel, open the purchase order and choose another status, such as Draft or Issued, from “Update Status.” Endless records the change on the purchase order’s timeline. To undo an archive, use “Restore.”
