What can I put on a purchase order’s lines, and what can I still change after it’s issued?

Each purchase order line is one product from your catalog with a quantity in units, a unit cost, a lead time, and an expected ship date. You can change lines at any status until the purchase order is archived.

Add lines with Add Item in the Line Items actions menu, or “Add items” when the purchase order is empty. If you cannot add products, check that the purchase order is not archived, that the product exists in your catalog, and that it is not already on the purchase order. A product can appear on only one line, so the same SKU cannot be on two lines; raise the quantity on the existing line instead.

Lines must be products. To record setup fees, tooling, labor, or other charges that belong in landed cost, add them as Other on the Duties & Fees panel of a supply shipment. Record other charges outside the purchase order.

Every quantity must be at least 1. Save is greyed out while any line is below 1, and the API rejects a quantity of zero. To drop a product, remove its line. To stop the whole order, cancel it (possible through Issued) or archive it.

Quantities are in units, so enter case packs as units, such as 120 for 10 cases of 12. Supply shipments created from the purchase order estimate cartons from units per carton.

To check the supplier’s minimum order quantity, use the MOQ column in “View all other supplier costs,” which shows each cost tier’s starting quantity. Endless accepts any quantity of 1 or more. Contact Endless support to discuss non-product charges, case packs, or minimum order quantities.

Issued, Confirmed, and later statuses do not lock lines. You can still change quantities, costs, lead times, and dates, so agree changes with your supplier first.

Removing a line does not touch supply shipments. Items already on a shipment for that line stay there with their quantity and cost, and the purchase order no longer shows the line.
