What does a purchase order need, and can it use another currency or deliver to more than one building?

A purchase order needs only a PO number, and Endless generates one if you leave it blank. A supplier and line items are optional when you select “Save Draft & View,” and every new purchase order starts as Draft.

Each line must be a product from your catalog. You can add lines and choose or change the supplier later on the purchase order page.

You can create a purchase order without a supplier. Without one, each line’s unit cost comes from the product’s default unit cost, or zero, and the purchase order does not pick up supplier terms. Endless cannot save cost tiers for its lines until a supplier is set, and sending the purchase order to a connected system such as Business Central needs one.

Every amount on a purchase order uses your company’s currency. To order from a supplier that prices in euros when your company uses US dollars, convert the supplier’s prices before you enter them. Contact Endless support to check which currency your company uses, or to discuss purchase orders in other currencies.

The delivery building is set on each supply shipment you create from a purchase order. To deliver one purchase order to several buildings, open it and use “Create Shipment from Purchase Order” once for each building. In the dialog, choose the destination warehouse (or a custom destination), select the lines, and enter the quantity for that shipment. The Not Shipped column shows how much of each line is still unassigned, so you can split the order across shipments.
