How does Endless decide whether a bundle goes to the warehouse as one SKU or as its components?

Endless decides when it creates the fulfillment order, using the product’s “Fulfill with components” setting on its Settings card. The setting applies to Bundles, Aliases, and Finished Goods that have components.

  • Auto: if the product’s own unallocated stock in the fulfillment order’s building covers the whole line, the line stays as the product. Otherwise Endless replaces it with the components, even if they are out of stock, so the component demand is recorded. New Bundles and Aliases default to Auto.
  • Yes: Endless always replaces the product with its components.
  • No: the line stays as the product. Other product types default to No.

Each component line gets the line quantity times the component quantity. That result must be a whole number, or Endless does not create the fulfillment order.

A bundle goes to the warehouse as one SKU when the setting is No, when it is Auto and the bundle’s own stock in that building covers the line, or when the bundle has no components. Endless also leaves lines unchanged on fulfillment orders where Process in Endless is No.

Decomposing changes only the fulfillment order. The sales order keeps the bundle item, and the component lines stay linked to it, so shipping every component counts as shipping the bundle.

To break a bundle into components on one fulfillment order, open the fulfillment order while it is Draft, open the line’s actions menu, and select “Use components.” Select “Use original item” to put the bundle back. Both actions work only while the fulfillment order is Draft.

Changing a bundle’s components does not change fulfillment orders that already exist. Lines already split into components keep the old components. To apply the new components on a Draft fulfillment order, select “Use original item” and then “Use components.”
