How does Endless calculate available inventory for bundles, and how do I see which bundles use a component?

For each building, Available to Make is the number of complete bundles that building’s component stock can build. For each component, Endless divides the component’s Available to Allocate in that building, which is its unallocated stock plus anything it can itself make, by the quantity the bundle needs, and rounds down. The lowest result is the building’s Available to Make. The product’s total adds up its active buildings. A component without inventory, or listed with a quantity of zero, makes the result 0. This applies to Bundles, Aliases, and Finished Goods that have components.

Endless recalculates a product’s Available to Make when its components change, and when a fulfillment order containing it is allocated, reverted to Draft, or fulfilled. It recalculates every product once an hour. A change to a component’s stock, such as receiving or an adjustment, can take up to an hour to appear on the bundles that use it.

“Inventory includes components” is in the Settings card beside the product’s Components. When it is on, the product’s Available to Sell includes its Available to Make, so a bundle counts what it can build as well as its own stock. When it is off, Available to Sell counts only the bundle’s own stock, and Available to Make shows separately. Endless does not set component units aside for any one bundle, so the same component stock can count toward several bundles and toward the component itself.

Hovering over a component shows its Available to Sell or Available to Allocate in each building with stock. Unassigned is the component’s total minus the sum of its buildings: the part Endless does not attribute to a building. It can be negative.

To find the bundles that use a component, select “Export product data” on the product list and choose Relationships. The file lists the components and quantities of every bundle, kit, and assembly. The Components view of the product list also shows each product’s components. Contact Endless support to discuss showing them on the component’s page.
