Which kinds of Shopify orders, line items, and order details does Endless import?
Endless imports every Shopify order processed after “Import & Update Orders” was turned on. It does not filter by sales channel, delivery method, or payment status. POS orders, local pickup and local delivery orders, B2B orders, and unpaid orders all import, and the payment status shows Shopify’s value, such as Pending or Paid. A POS sale fulfilled at the register arrives with that fulfillment recorded. Pickup and delivery orders are assigned to the building mapped to the Shopify location.
Each Shopify line becomes an order line. Endless links it to the product whose SKU matches exactly.
- Gift cards and lines that do not require shipping, such as warranties or shipping protection, import as lines without a product. Endless never creates products for them. An order with only these lines still imports.
- A line with no SKU imports without a product. When “Automatically import missing products when creating orders” is on, Endless links it to a product with exactly the same name, if one exists.
- A line whose SKU is not in Endless imports without a product, unless that setting is on and the product can be imported. The order timeline lists lines that did not match a product.
For B2B orders, Endless imports the company name on the shipping and billing addresses. Contact Endless support to discuss importing the Shopify company record and payment terms.
Endless imports the order as it is in Shopify at that moment. If a bundle app adds items after checkout, Endless adds them when Shopify reports the change. Its fulfillment orders update only while they are Draft and untouched. Select “Reload order” to fetch the current items.
When an order has no shipping address in Shopify, Endless uses the customer’s default address. If the customer has none, as is common for pickup and POS orders, the order arrives without a shipping address.
