How do Shopify orders get into Endless, how do I import or reload one, and why hasn’t an order shown up?

When “Import & Update Orders” is on, Shopify notifies Endless of each new or changed order, and Endless fetches it within seconds. Endless also checks Shopify every hour for orders it missed. When it is off, Endless does not import new orders or apply Shopify changes to existing orders. Only Import Order and reloads bring data in.

Endless automatically creates only orders that Shopify processed after “Import & Update Orders” was turned on. Older orders, including historical orders you import into Shopify with their original dates, are skipped. Use Import Order, or contact Endless support for a historical import. Shopify gives apps access only to the last 60 days of orders, so older orders need the app to have Shopify’s read all orders access. Without it, a historical import reports that the installation needs that access, and the store owner must approve the updated app.

If an order has not appeared, check that the setting is on, that the order is not archived in Endless, and that no order with the same number already exists in that sales channel.

In Import Order, enter the order number shown in Shopify, including any prefix or suffix, or the full Shopify order ID.

“Import Order Note” decides where the Shopify order note goes. Instructions copies it to the order’s instructions, Gift message to the gift message, Both to both, and Neither to neither. The note is always added as an order note.

“Reload order” on an order, or “Reload orders” for up to 50 selected orders, fetches the latest Shopify data. It is available for Pending, Ordered, and In Progress orders. It rewrites fields Shopify manages, such as items, addresses, and tags, overwriting your edits to them. Fulfillment orders you changed in Endless are kept. “Update was not applied: this integration is not the order’s source.” means the order’s source integration was changed to another integration.
