How do shipments, tracking, and cancellations sync between Endless and ShipBob after an order is sent?
Endless records a ShipBob shipment once ShipBob reports it as labeled or completed with a tracking number. ShipBob notifies Endless when an order ships or a shipment changes, and Endless reads that order’s shipments right away. Endless also checks every In Progress ShipBob fulfillment order once a day, and “Get Shipment” checks one on demand. If the connection card says the webhook subscription is not configured, only the daily check and “Get Shipment” apply.
ShipBob can show a tracking number while a shipment is still processing, on hold, or in exception. Endless waits for the labeled or completed status. A fulfillment order becomes Fulfilled only when its shipments cover every item.
Endless converts ShipBob’s carrier and service into an Endless carrier service with its built-in ShipBob mappings. When it does not recognize the service, the shipment keeps ShipBob’s carrier text and shows the tracking number without a link. Contact Endless support to discuss mapping that service.
When ShipBob splits a fulfillment order, each ShipBob shipment becomes a separate shipment in Endless with its own items and tracking number.
To change the address or items on a sent order, edit it in ShipBob, or cancel the fulfillment order and create a new one. Sending the same fulfillment order again does not create a second ShipBob order.
“Revert to Allocated” and “Cancel Fulfillment” ask ShipBob to cancel its order. If ShipBob does not accept the cancellation, for example because the order was already picked, Endless still removes the link to the ShipBob order. The Timeline shows “ShipBob refused to cancel order …” and the order gets an alert. Check the order in ShipBob and stop it there if needed. If ShipBob ships it anyway, contact Endless support for help.
“ShipBob partially canceled order …” means ShipBob canceled some of the order’s shipments but not others. The text after it lists each shipment it did not cancel and why.
