What does Endless send to ShipBob with each order, and why might an order not arrive there?

Endless sends each fulfillment order to ShipBob as its own order, with the sales order number as the order number and the fulfillment order number as the reference ID. It also sends the recipient, items, order total, gift message, and the sales order’s tags.

The shipping method is the name of the fulfillment order’s carrier service, else the sales order’s, else “Standard.” ShipBob picks the actual carrier through the Ship Option Mapping in your ShipBob dashboard, so a carrier that differs from your choice comes from that mapping. “Import shipping methods” lists the ship options configured in ShipBob for reference. It does not change mappings or routing.

Endless marks a ShipBob order for third-party billing when the order or fulfillment order has third-party billing set through the API or an order integration. To have ShipBob bill your UPS or FedEx account, set that account up in your ShipBob dashboard.

Orders on a Wholesale or Distributor sales channel go to ShipBob as B2B orders, with the PO Number (or the sales order number when it is empty), Store ID as the mark-for store, and the Ship By and Ship After dates. All other orders, including Drop Ship channels, go as direct-to-consumer orders. Contact Endless support to discuss sending ShipBob DropShip orders.

Endless names the ShipBob fulfillment center mapped to the fulfillment order’s building. If the building is not mapped, ShipBob chooses the fulfillment center.

If ShipBob rejects an order or limits how fast Endless can send, Endless retries with increasing delays, then marks the fulfillment order Failed. The order’s Timeline shows each send attempt with ShipBob’s error. Fix the cause, then select “Resend for fulfillment.”

ShipBob accepts one order per fulfillment order. Sending the same fulfillment order again does not create a second ShipBob order. To send changed items or a changed address, cancel the fulfillment order and create a new one.
