How are Amazon orders fulfilled, cancelled, and marked shipped on Amazon from Endless?
Amazon fulfills FBA orders, and Endless fulfills FBM orders and sends their tracking to Amazon.
Each FBA order arrives as Ordered with one fulfillment order already assigned to the building that the Amazon connection manages. That fulfillment order is In Progress while Amazon works on it, Fulfilled when Amazon reports it shipped, and Failed if Amazon reports it unfulfillable. Find FBA tracking in Seller Central. In Endless, the shipment shows “Tracking withheld by Amazon FBA” with the carrier “Amazon FBA”, because Amazon leaves FBA tracking out of the order data Endless reads.
To cancel an Amazon order, cancel it in Seller Central and in Endless.
When an order is canceled on Amazon:
- FBA: Endless cancels the sales order and its open fulfillment work when Amazon reports the cancellation. If existing shipments or allocations prevent the cancellation, review the timeline and contact Endless support.
- FBM: Endless sets the payment status to Voided. Cancel the sales order in Endless and stop the shipment at your warehouse.
For FBM orders, Endless confirms the shipment with Amazon right after a shipment with items is recorded as shipped. It sends one confirmation per package, with the tracking number, ship date, and the Amazon items and quantities in it. An order can stay pending on Amazon when:
- the “Enable Amazon FBM channel” setting is off,
- the Marketplace ID is blank,
- the order or its items did not come from Amazon, or
- Amazon rejected the confirmation, for example for an unrecognized carrier.
Accepted confirmations appear in the order timeline. To retry, select “Send shipments” on the order. It skips shipments Amazon already accepted with the same details.
For the carrier, Endless sends the carrier name on the shipment in Endless, or “Other” when it is blank. The carrier name on the shipment must be one Amazon recognizes.
