How do I link products to suppliers, and what does Endless store for each link?
A product is linked to a supplier when you add the supplier on the product’s Suppliers card, add a cost for the product on the supplier’s Products tab, or put the product on a purchase order for that supplier. Endless creates the last two links by itself.
To link one by hand, open the product, choose “Add supplier” on the Suppliers card, and pick the supplier. From the supplier’s side, use “Add supplier cost” on its Products tab, pick a product, and enter a cost.
Each link stores the supplier’s Part Number for the product, a Default MOQ, and an origin country and port. Prices and lead times are separate: they are the supplier’s cost tiers for the product, shown on the supplier’s Products tab and the product’s purchasing details.
A product can have any number of suppliers. Each purchase order has one supplier, picked when you create it, and that supplier’s cost tiers, Default MOQ, and lead time fill in the lines. Switching the supplier on a purchase order links its products to the new supplier.
You can record the supplier’s own SKU as the Part Number on the product’s Suppliers card, or in the Supplier SKU column on the supplier’s Products tab. Purchase orders, the purchase order PDF, and the email to the supplier show your SKU and product name. To give the supplier their codes, add them to the special instructions or send a separate list. Contact Endless support to discuss showing Part Numbers on purchase orders.
“Supplier is not active” means the supplier’s status is inactive. Contact Endless support to set it back to active. To link an archived supplier, unarchive it first.
