Which price does Endless use on an order, and how do MSRP and MAP apply?
Orders from a sales channel keep the prices the channel sends. Endless applies its own prices only when you add items to a sales order in Endless, such as a draft order.
On orders that arrive from Shopify, marketplaces, EDI, or other integrations, each line keeps the unit price on the incoming order, even when you have set prices for that channel or customer in Endless.
When you add a product to a sales order with “Add Items,” Endless looks up a price for the order’s sales channel:
- The sales channel’s price with the highest Minimum quantity that the line’s quantity reaches.
- Otherwise, the product’s MSRP.
- Otherwise, the line has no price.
Set a base channel price’s Minimum quantity to 1 so it applies when you add items. You can change a line’s price after adding it, for example to a customer’s price.
Deleting a customer or channel price archives it. Existing orders, open or not, keep the prices already on their lines. Only items added afterward are affected.
“Unit price is too high relative to the retail price” appears when you add a price whose Unit price is far higher than its Retail price, at roughly ten thousand times or more. It usually means the retail price was entered in the wrong unit or with a misplaced decimal. Correct the Retail price or leave it blank.
MSRP (Suggested Retail Price) is the product’s list price. Endless uses it as the fallback price when you add items, for gross margin, and on sell sheets. MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) is the lowest price the product may be advertised at. Endless stores MAP and shows it on sell sheets and in the product export. Your developer or an AI coding tool can compare order prices with MAP through the Endless API with a Read Only Data Integration. API access must be in your plan. Contact Endless support to discuss MAP checks or customer prices on orders.
