How do I find, organize, and review images in the media library?

The media library organizes images with boards. A board is a named collection, and one image can be on several boards. Create a board from the board list, add images to it, and use the Board filter to see only its images. Boards can contain other boards. Move a board into another board to organize it; its link stays the same. Archiving a board also archives its sub-boards but keeps the images. Restoring a board restores only that board. Duplicate board copies its description and images, but not its sub-boards or share links.

The search box matches file names, alt text, descriptions, tags, image field values, and the SKU or name of products tagged on the image. Each image card shows its file name. Slot positions are on each product’s Channel slots card and in the media export.

To export, select Export CSV from the Media page’s actions menu. The export uses the library’s current filters. It writes one row for each image placed in a channel slot, with an export name such as YC-100.PT01.jpg, and then one row for each image not in any slot, with its tagged SKUs. The columns are Image ID, File Name, Export Name, Source URL, Width, Height, SKU, Channel, Slot, Slot Name, Alt Text, and Tags. Filter by channel to export only that channel’s slots.

With several images selected, the sidebar shows only the tags, products, boards, and field values that every selected image shares. Adding a tag, product, or board adds it to all of them. Removing a shared one removes it from all of them. Tags and products on only some images stay as they are. Setting a field gives every selected image the same value.

Archiving an image removes it from every product, channel slot, and board, and archives its resized copies. To use an archived image again, upload it again and add it to its products, slots, and boards. Contact Endless support for help restoring an archived image.

To pin a comment, select “Pin to a spot,” click the image, and write the comment. Comments can be replied to, resolved, and reopened. Only the person who wrote a comment can delete it.
