How do I enable Shopify access to orders older than 60 days?
Add Shopify’s read_all_orders permission to the app, alongside its existing read_orders or write_orders permission, and have the store approve the updated access.
- For Partner-organization apps, request Read all orders access from the app’s API access requests in the Partner Dashboard. Merchant-organization apps used on that organization’s stores have an approval exception. Follow Shopify’s order-access requirements; support can handle apps we manage.
- Add read_all_orders to the required scopes of the same app version and release it. Follow Shopify’s scope management instructions.
- Open the existing integration in Endless and reconnect, or copy a fresh connection link for the store owner to complete approval.
- Run the historical import after approval.
Endless checks the permissions Shopify actually granted before importing older orders. Saving an unreleased app version or adding an optional scope alone does not grant access. A successful connection also does not prove this particular permission was granted.
Keep the existing Endless integration to preserve settings, mappings, and history. If access still fails, check that the app receiving approval is the same app connected to the store, that the version was released, and that store approval completed.
If several stores share the app, coordinate the required-scope change with those stores. Regular order access covers the last 60 days; add historical access when you need it.
