How does Endless send fulfillment orders to ShipHero, and why might an order fail or arrive differently than expected?
Endless sends each fulfillment order to ShipHero as its own order, numbered with the fulfillment order number, to the warehouse connected to its building.
Before creating a regular order, Endless looks for a ShipHero order with the same number. If one exists and is not canceled, Endless links the fulfillment order to it, and the activity shows “Order … already exists in ShipHero … skipping create.” This happens when a fulfillment order is sent again after ShipHero already received it. If the existing order is canceled, Endless adds the suffix “-1” to the order number, and “-2” on the next resend. Canceling and resending therefore creates a new ShipHero order each time.
The packing note contains the fulfillment order’s instructions, or the sales order’s note when it has none, followed by each additional data field as “Title: value.” The gift message goes in the gift note.
Endless sends a wholesale order when the sales channel type is Wholesale, the order has B2B details, and “Enable wholesale order dispatch” is on. Otherwise the order goes as a regular order. Wholesale orders carry the ship window dates, trading partner, department, distribution center, store, and vendor numbers. Before you resend a wholesale order, check ShipHero for the existing order, and cancel any duplicate there. Make sure ShipHero has each SKU on a wholesale order, using “Push Product Data” if needed, before you send it.
ShipHero sets the picking flow and Parcel or Freight on its side, so change them in ShipHero, and leave “Default picking flow” and “Default shipping option” at their defaults.
Endless marks wholesale orders as not requiring GS1 labels. Contact Endless support to discuss GS1 labels, routing documents, picking flows, or shipping options for ShipHero.
