productUpdateBomRevisionLines

Replaces the component lines of a draft bill of materials revision.

The lines sent describe the complete desired component set. A component left out of the list is removed from the draft, which lets an editor save the whole bill of materials in one call without tracking individual additions and removals.

Business Rules​

  • Only a draft revision can be edited. Released revisions are immutable.
  • A component may appear once per revision and must belong to the same company.
  • Quantities must be greater than zero.
  • A product cannot be a component of itself, and a component that already contains the product is rejected so the bill of materials cannot loop.

Error Scenarios​

  • **BOM revision was not found**: The revision does not exist or belongs to another product.
  • **Rev N is not a draft and cannot be changed**: The revision has already been released.
  • **One or more components were not found**: A component does not exist in this company.
  • **Quantity must be greater than zero**: A line carries a zero or negative quantity.
