productDiscardBomRevision

Abandons a draft bill of materials revision.

The draft and its lines are archived, the revision number is retired, and the product is free to open a new draft. The live bill of materials is untouched.

Business Rules​

  • Only a draft revision can be discarded. Released revisions are kept as history.
  • The revision number is not reused; the next draft takes the following number.

Error Scenarios​

  • **BOM revision was not found**: The revision does not exist or belongs to another product.
  • **Rev N is not a draft and cannot be changed**: The revision has already been released.

Permissions Required​

Requires the products:delete_composition_lines permission.
