What happens when I archive a product, and how do I bring it back?
Archiving takes a product out of normal use. To archive one product, open it, open its actions menu, and select Archive product. The product leaves the product list unless you set the Archived Products filter to Include archived or Archived only. Its inventory record, costs, prices, supplier links, tags, attributes, documents, and component lines are archived with it.
Archiving keeps the product’s channel links and leaves the product on Shopify, Rithum, and other connected channels as it is. Archive or remove it in each channel as well.
Archiving is how you make a product inactive and take it out of use.
You can archive a product with stock on hand. Endless does not adjust the stock. Endless blocks archiving while the product is on an open sales order, on an open inbound shipment, in an allocation, or in an active bundle’s components.
Archiving a bundle does not archive its components. The bundle’s component lines are archived, and the component products stay active.
When an order arrives for an archived product’s SKU, Endless does not match the line to the archived product. The line keeps the SKU and name from the channel but is not linked to a product, so Endless cannot allocate stock for it. Unarchive a product before you sell it again.
To unarchive, filter the product list to archived products, open the product, and select Unarchive product from the actions menu. Endless restores the product and everything archived with it. Check the Components and Pricing & Costs tabs afterward, and remove any components or cost tiers you no longer want.
To archive many products, import a product file with the Archived column set to true. Each row is checked against the same rules, and rows that cannot be archived fail. Contact Endless support for help archiving products.
