When does Endless send fulfillments and tracking to Shopify, when does Shopify email the customer, and why didn’t they appear?
Endless sends recorded shipments to Shopify as fulfillments on the matching Shopify fulfillment order. A shipment can contain several tracking numbers and tracking URLs; Endless sends all of them. Separate partial shipments remain separate fulfillments. Shipments imported from Shopify are not sent back.
The order timeline records successful sends and errors. If a fulfillment or shipment is not linked to Shopify, use “Sync fulfillments and shipments.” It reconciles the fulfillment plan, matches existing Shopify shipments, imports shipments from Shopify, and sends outstanding Endless shipments. It also checks tracking on linked Endless-managed shipments. A conflicting location or unclear item match needs review; contact Endless support if synchronization cannot complete.
“Send shipments” sends shipments Shopify has not yet accepted. For a manual single-order or bulk send, choose the integration default, notify customers, or do not notify customers. An explicit choice overrides the integration’s “Send tracking information to customer” setting. With no override, Endless uses the setting; if it has never been saved, the default is to notify.
Shopify sends the customer’s shipping email when it receives the fulfillment. This does not wait for a carrier scan. Corrections to tracking on an existing linked fulfillment, including a matched ShipStation replacement label, suppress customer notifications.
The timeline shows what Endless sent and whether it requested notification. It does not confirm that a customer received or read an email. Use the carrier’s tracking page for delivery progress, and contact Endless support about marking delivery in Shopify.
