How do Shopify fulfillment locations, splits, and fulfillment updates sync with fulfillment orders in Endless?

Endless maps Shopify fulfillment locations to buildings and keeps a fulfillment order for each imported Shopify fulfillment order.

Shopify changes can update untouched Draft fulfillments in Endless. Once a fulfillment has been allocated, sent, packed, shipped, or edited, Endless preserves that work and asks you to review source changes. Changes can arrive through notifications or order refreshes. Canceled orders pause automatic fulfillment-plan updates.

Changes made in Endless do not immediately rearrange Shopify’s plan. Use Sync fulfillments and shipments after changing buildings, splitting a fulfillment, or adjusting quantities. It moves, splits, and merges open Shopify fulfillments to match Endless and restores their links.

Synchronization also matches existing Shopify shipments, imports shipments recorded there, sends outstanding Endless shipments, and checks tracking on linked Endless-managed shipments. A shipment recorded in only one system can therefore be reconciled when its location and contents match clearly.

The action requires fulfillment quantities that cover the order, mapped Shopify locations for the buildings, and fulfillments Shopify allows to change. Conflicting locations, holds, or ambiguous item quantities can require review. The timeline explains why the action stopped.

An unlinked-fulfillment signal means the connection needed to report shipments is missing. Sync the records and review any remaining errors before retrying shipment reporting.

If the timeline says the sales order updated but its source fulfillment plan could not be saved, reload the order after the retry. Contact Endless support if that message or a synchronization conflict persists.
