How does Endless send shipments to Faire, and why might a shipment be skipped?

Endless sends shipment details to Faire once every item on the Faire order has shipped, and it sends all of the order’s shipments together in one request.

With Send Shipment Mode set to Automatic, the default, Endless checks each time a shipment on the order ships or changes. With Manual, Endless sends only when someone selects Send shipments on the order, using the same rules.

For each shipment, Endless sends the carrier, the tracking number, and a maker cost. The maker cost is the shipment’s label cost. When that cost is missing or zero, Endless uses Default Shipping Cost (USD). Shipping Cost Markup (%) is then added, so a $10.00 cost with a markup of 15 is reported as $11.50. With no cost and no default, Endless leaves the maker cost out.

Endless records on the order timeline that the shipments were sent to Faire. Check delivery to the retailer with the carrier’s tracking.

Messages on the order:

  • “Faire: waiting for all order items to ship before sending tracking.” Some items are not on a shipped shipment yet. Endless sends once they are.
  • “Faire: order has an existing shipment receipt; skipping.” Endless already sent this order’s shipments. Enter shipments added or changed later on Faire.
  • “Faire: order has no active shipments; skipping.” The order has nothing shipped to send.
