What is a custom sales integration, and what can my developer do with it?
A custom sales integration is a sales integration your developer builds against the Endless API. Endless provisions an access token, API key, and API secret for it, and your system makes every call.
Its default role is Sales Integration. With it, your developer can:
- create orders and read, update, hold, release, approve, cancel, and uncancel them;
- add and update order items, notes, customer details, and shipping instructions;
- create and update products, prices, costs, attributes, images, and bundles;
- read sales channels, carriers, and carrier services;
- read and export inventory.
It does not have settings. All data, including products and orders, reaches Endless through your system’s API calls.
Yes, it can read inventory by building. The inventory query accepts building IDs as a filter, and each item’s quantity fields can be read for a single building.
Your system reads tracking from Endless, either by querying the order and its shipments, or by subscribing to order updates through the API. Create orders with the integration as their source, so you can find them with the Source filter and so Endless records which integration owns them.
